Craig Markham is a BHIS provider in Mason City, and is super excited to now be part of the Heart and Solutions family. Over the past 20 years, he has worn a few hats – from running his own pet services businesses to helping at-risk youth in different settings. What really motivates Craig is helping parents and their kids bond better, communicate more effectively, and build that inner strength to face life’s challenges. He has a passion for using tech to boost skill-building and even bring in pets for some unique animal-assisted interventions. It’s all about helping everyone build better behavioral skills in fun and innovative ways! Outside of work, he loves all things family: his wife, son, two dogs (GSD and Aussie), and cat. He has trained dogs for police work, narcotics detection, and service dog training, so, he is a big dog lover. He also has a love for cooking—his smoker and grill are used almost every day! In a past life, he was a professional musician (there is a star on First Avenue for the band I was part of in Minneapolis). He loves enjoying music with his talented son, who plays the guitar, percussion, and piano. He also still plays the saxophone once in a while. He also lifts weights and takes frequent walks along the Winnebago River.
