Program Description
Child Centered Play Therapy works well in the playroom, but it can be hard to translate to parents how these techniques can be used in day to day life. Through discussion of CCPT skills and their real life applications, therapists will develop new ways to encourage parents to build communication and trust with their children.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will learn the 4 skills of Child Centered Play Therapy
- Participants will learn how to structure a parent meeting when Child Centered Play Therapy is the primary modality
- Participants will learn at least 4 ways to use the skills of Child Centered Play Therapy outside of special playtime.
