Susan is a licensed mental health therapist with a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University and a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Criminal Justice from Buena Vista University. She has worked with individuals across diverse settings, including in-home services, parent support, and substance use treatment. Susan’s clinical focus includes trauma, personality disorders, suicidal ideation, depression, ADHD, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and relationship issues. She believes in creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to explore and grow. In addition to her therapeutic work, Susan has experience in policy and advocacy through the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), where she worked to advance social justice and systemic change.”As a mental health therapist, I’m committed to building safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic relationships. I meet you where you are—emotionally and in terms of your goals and work alongside you to create meaningful, lasting change through individual or couples therapy. I believe therapy is most effective when built on trust and genuine connection. I’m honored to support clients from a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and experiences. My current areas of focus include grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, personality disorders, identity exploration, and relationship concerns. I’m passionate about offering a space where you can explore, express, and share openly—without judgment. Reaching out for support is an act of strength, and while taking that first step can feel overwhelming, you don’t have to do it alone. We all need help sometimes, and that’s more than okay.

Susan is open to working with clients from all communities we serve in alignment with Heart and Solutions’ Commitment to Inclusion.
Susan is especially passionate about working with the following communities and issues: Secular/Non-Religions, Body Positivity, Immigrant Allied, Non-Binary Allied, Queer Allied, Transgender Allied, Asian, Mixed Race
