Hi everyone! My name is Paul Keller. I’m happy to be a part of the team at Heart and Solutions as a Behavioral Health Counselor. I am from Iowa City, Iowa and I received my bachelor’s in criminology from the University of Iowa in May 2024. Prior to H&S, I worked as a youth counselor at a juvenile detention center, as well as working with youth with disabilities as a youth services facilitator. My mission in this position is to provide a grounded, relatable space where clients are seen, heard, and above all respected. I specialize in navigating high tension moments through calm de-escalation, ensuring that safety and stability remain the foundation of every breakthrough a client has. I am committed to bridging the gap between clinical support and real-world application, and help individuals replace old patterns with healthy, practical coping mechanisms that actually fit into their lives.

!Hola a todos! Mi nombre es Paul Keller. Estoy feliz de ser parte del equipo de Heart and Solutions como Consejero de Salud Conductual. Soy de Iowa City, Iowa, y obtuve mi licenciatura en criminología en la Universidad de Iowa en mayo de 2024. Antes de H&S, trabajé como consejero juvenil en un centro de detención juvenil, así como trabajando con jóvenes con discapacidades como facilitador de servicios juveniles. Meet Paul

My lovely girlfriend Aubrey and I live with our two cats, Tilly and Begbie. When I’m not working, I like to go the gym, read, play video games, learning about history, listening to/making music, going to Hawkeye sporting events, and spending time with my family and friends! I’m someone who loves having people vent to me about their problems and who loves making people feel better, and I hope to bring a lot of those positive vibes to the youth in the community.
