I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and my Master of Social Work from St. Ambrose University. My areas of expertise and clinical interest include: trauma, grief and loss, identity development and exploration, anxiety, depression, relationship/familial concerns, attachment, and emotional dysregulation. Special training and certifications I have include: Seeking Safety Curriculum Facilitator; Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Counseling and Advocacy Certifications (in IL and IA); Trauma and Substance Abuse Integrated Services; Trauma-Informed Care Sanctuary Model. My approach emphasizes creating a space that allows for healing and growth, as well as meaningful connection. Further, in treatment, I have experience utilizing expressive therapies, such as art and sand tray therapy, in order to assist in exploration and expression.
