As a LMSW in Iowa, I take a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach. Trauma shapes who we are, our patterns, fears, ways of protecting ourselves, and that deserves to be honored, not minimized. At the same time, we are not only our trauma. My work holds both truths: acknowledging your past while helping you reconnect with your capacity to heal and grow.
