Krystal Parks (she/her)
BHIS Provider
M.Ed, Counselor Education
I am a 2024 graduate of Western Illinois University where I gained my knowledge and practiced my studies to receive a Masters of Science in Education for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in various children and family facilities, such as: the Department of Children and Family Services and the Center for Youth and Family Solutions. While attending my internship program, I worked with adolescent boys, ages 12-18 at Arrowhead Youth and Family Services inCoal Valley, IL. During that year and a half at Arrowhead, I gained experience and implemented interventions in Behavioral Health, Anger Management, Crisis and Trauma, and Conflict Resolution. This is, no doubt, where I learned that the youth and adolescents have the power to pull at my heartstrings. And where I found my strong passion and love for helping others learn how to use skills and interventions to cope with life’s everyday issues.

Krystal is open to working with clients from all communities we serve in alignment with Heart and Solutions’ Commitment to Inclusion.
Krystal is especially passionate about working with the following communities and issues: Christian, Racial Justice Allied, Single Parent, Black and African American, Mixed Race

Meet Krystal
I love spending time with my son and my one year old grandson (who keeps me on my toes), hanging out and laughing with other family and friends, going to church, traveling and challenging myself to come up with new ways to implement self care.
