Em Harsch (she/they)

Mental Health Therapist

LMSW

I became a therapist to address the gap that marginalized communities face in accessing inclusive mental health care. My approach is collaborative, creative, & consensual. My goal is to understand my clients as full people – not just what’s going on inside, but also paying attention to your identities, environments, and social systems. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, conflict, identities, and coping skills. I use an eclectic mix of trauma-informed, identify-affirming, feminist/humanistic, empowerment-based, mindfulness-based/somatic, and narrative practices. In practice, this means that I strive to give you as much control as possible, adapt to your needs, create a safe environment, and explore healing practices that work for you, your mind, and your body. As a therapist committed to liberation, I believe your therapy is yours – and I am invited to your life, so I prioritize client needs and strengths.

Heart 100x100Meet Em

I have three dogs and way too many plants. I enjoy spending time outside, connecting with friends and family, and gardening. In my spare time, you can find me listening to 60s and 70s rock and soul, eating Thai food, or trying my hand at DIY projects.
