Delaney Schefers (she/her)

BHIS Provider

BA in BHS

Hi my name is Delaney Schefers and I bring in over four years of hands-on experience with adolescents and teens facing behavioral and emotional challenges. My background includes trauma-informed care, residential foster care support, and sex- trafficked survivor advocacy through organizations such as YWAM and Chains Interrupted. I have also acquired my bachelors degree in Behavioral Health Science from Grand Canyon University as of spring 2025. For treatment, I use a relational, strength-based approach that incorporates de-escalation techniques, psychoeducation, and resilience building strategies. I am passionate about creating safe, affirming spaces where young people feel seen, heard and empowered to grow. My mission is to walk alongside youth with empathy and consistency, helping them build emotional regulation, self awareness and confidence to thrive.

Heart 100x100Meet Delaney

When I am not working I love to keep my life very busy. People tend to have a hard time tying me down because I am always on the go and loving it! So if you can catch me on a chill day I am usually hanging out with my two German Sheppard mix dogs, Maycie and Jak, and my three crazy cats. In my free time I like to be artsy and dabble in painting and drawing. I am trying to get back into reading because I used to be a book worm. I love staying active so you will frequently see me working out, hiking or some other activity I drag my friends to. I’ve had the privilege to travel to many beautiful places such as Europe, Hawaii, Mexico and Guatemala! Once I opened up the passport I cannot close it again! Some interests I love to yap about women’s sports, conspiracy theories, relevant movies or shows, travel, the broken justice system, and how to make the world a better place . I can get into a black hole with those especially over an iced coffee.
