Brandi Schmitt (she/her)

Clinical Director

MS, NCC, LMHC
EMDR Trained Clinician

As a Clinical Director at Heart and Solutions, I have the privilege of supporting our team of therapists through supervision, training, and collaborative leadership. My role allows me to stay closely connected to the heart of the work — helping clinicians grow into confident, compassionate providers while ensuring we continue to offer high-quality care to the individuals and communities we serve.

Before stepping into this leadership role in 2021, I spent many years working directly with clients, specializing in trauma recovery, attachment-related challenges, and low self-esteem. I’m trained in EMDR and have a strong background in treating PTSD and complex trauma.

My approach to therapy additionally drew from modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), emphasizing deep self-understanding and internal harmony to help clients restore a sense of balance and meaning in their lives. While I’m no longer working with clients directly, those experiences deeply inform the way I show up as a supervisor and leader.

In supervision, I aim to create a space where clinicians feel safe, seen, and encouraged — but also appropriately challenged. I believe in highlighting strengths, offering honest and respectful feedback, and helping clinicians navigate the complexities of this work with both skill and heart. I know how demanding this field can be, and my hope is to walk alongside our team with warmth, curiosity, and a steady presence.

Brandi is open to working with providers from all communities we serve in alignment with Heart and Solutions’ Commitment to Inclusion.

Brandi is especially passionate about working with the following communities and issues: Body Positivity, Immigrant Allied, Queer Allied, Racial Justice Allied, Transgender Allied, Veteran Allied

Heart 100x100Meet Brandi

When I’m not working, you can usually find me listening to an audiobook, tending to my ever-growing collection of houseplants, or spending quality time with family and friends. I love creating cozy, peaceful spaces—both at home and throughout my life. These everyday joys keep me grounded and inspired, and I bring that same sense of presence and care into the work I do with clients.
