Hello! My name is Abbey Mason. I am currently a therapy intern at Heart and Solutions, LLC in the Des Moines area. I have been dedicated to professionally improving the mental well-being of individuals since entering the mental health field following undergrad. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University in 2022. I am currently in my final year of my Master’s of Social Work (MSW) program to become a Licensed Social Worker. I am passionate about working in children’s mental health. I have experience working with children and parents diagnosed with severe mental illnesses, individual case management, and behavioral intervention in the home, school, and community settings. My favorite part about working with children is holding a creative, comfortable space and witnessing growth through their mental and emotional struggles. I also enjoy collaborating closely with parents, schools, and community resources to provide comprehensive support for my clients. I am committed to creating a positive impact in the lives of children and families, fostering growth, healing, and resilience. I am excited to meet you and work with you in the future.
