Today we are joined by return guest Bre Hirst, LISW, LCSW for the second of two installments on understanding mental health and the human behavior through a polyvagal-informed and language-oriented lens. Bre shares how she uniquely integrates research-based strategies to support clients in understanding mental health and how our internal and external systems we navigate interact and impact one another to create meaningful, sustainable change.

Breann or Bre Hirst is a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois and Iowa providing mental health support in the Quad City Area for over 5 years and teaches Social Work oriented courses at Black Hawk College and St. Ambrose University. Bre transitioned into private practice, opening Wholehearted Connections in December 2022 and became an Associate of Blue Tree Counseling and Consultation in April 2023. Bre focuses on providing psychotherapy and community education that uniquely integrates research-based strategies to support clients in understanding mental health and how our internal and external systems we navigate interact and impact one another to create meaningful, sustainable change.
