Hello! My name is Mackenzie Griffin, I live in Denver, IA. I graduated from Wartburg College in 2024 with a BA in Psychology, Sociology, with a concentration in criminology. I have since been working in a clinical ABA setting as a Registered Behavior Technician. My specialty I’d like to give to the Heart and Solutions team is my experience with children diagnosed with autism. I am trained to manage and mitigate maladaptive and dangerous behaviors in children and teens through prevention strategies and teaching emotional regulation and coping skills. It is my mission and my passion to assist families who have children with autism or behavioral disorders and may also exhibit challenging behaviors. I have experience with non to semi-verbal children, as well as navigating voice devices. I love building communication skills to see kids find ways to effectively express themselves, and the interpersonal growth that comes from mutual understanding and communication.
