Behavioral Health Services

You Need a Counselor is a podcast designed for people curious about counseling, but who have barriers keeping them from experiencing the benefits of counseling.  Our mission is to share stories about counseling good, bad, indifferent, and spread the message that everyone can benefit from mental health and behavioral health counseling services.

This week Julie and Chrissa are joined by Caitlin Belden, a BHIS counselor at Heart and Solutions in the Waterloo and Grundy Center areas. In this episode, get a peak into what BHIS sessions can look like, Caitlin’s future plans to pursue becoming a registered Play Therapist, and some of Caitlin’s experiences seeing both counselor and psychiatrist. To start behavioral or mental health services in Iowa call Heart and Solutions at (800) 531-4236.
