Through my work as a behavior health intervention specialist my goal is to provide children of all ages with strategies and tools that they can use to navigate everyday situations. I focus on the importance of creating a comfortable environment and positive relationship with clients which I believe further aids in the progress made within sessions. Based on my experience I think this is best achieved through the use of strategy based games to boost cooperation, reflection activities to further emotional intelligence and outdoor/indoor physical activities to teach de-stressing and relaxation techniques. I also recognize that every child is different and work to curate the work we do to fit their own personal needs.
